
Pigeonniers de Larra
The French word for dovecote is pigeonnier.
Pigeonnier du Château de Larra :
This dovecote is eight-sided. It was built over arcades and it is covered with a pinnacle.
Other dovecotes in Larra are not so sophisticated. This model is the most popular one around Toulouse.

Pigeonniers du Burgaud
This dovecote has a four-sided roof with a pinnacle.
Dovecotes were important economically but they were also designed to show the wealth and social position of their owners.
This splendid dovecote can be seen when going to Animaparc theme park.

Pigeonniers de Beillard
This dovecote is one of the oldest and most sophisticated of all our dovecotes. It is eight-sided and was built over eight rounded pillars.
The roof is covered with a pinnacle and dormer windows.
