Heritage

Churches

Wether they are medieval or more recent, our churches and chapels boast two different types of tower bells : either « wall » tower bell or typical Toulouse octagonal tower bell.

Châteaux

Be they medieval or built later with a classical style, our castles and châteaux are all made of red brick.

Covered markets

Our covered markets stand in the middle of the villages and they are our favourite places for traditional events and markets.

Convent

The convent of Grenade called « Couvent des Ursulines » is one of the highlights of the city.

Dovecotes

Wether they are simple or very elaborate many dovecotes can be seen along the roads of Save et Garonne.

Museum

La Maison de l’Histoire is worth the visit if you want to discover the history of Save et Garonne.

Typical houses

In the past houses used to be built with brick and pebbles. Others had half-timbered façades.

Bridge

This bridge is a listed monument located in Grenade, it was built over the river Save in the 14th century.
